Dr. Gabrielle Yundt completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at George Fox University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at George Washington University Professional Psychology Program, where she saw clients, supervised doctoral students and taught classes in Assessment and History and Systems in Psychology. Prior to her postdoc, she completed her internship at SUNY Old Westbury Counseling & Psychological Services. In addition to her formal training, she is the recipient of the 2022 Division 39 Early Career Scholars Award, the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis Fellowship, and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis Fellowship.
Dr. Yundt has worked in a variety of settings including: private practice, school-based services, emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric facilities, college counseling centers, and community mental health. She enjoys working with a variety of clinical presentations, and has experience providing therapy to trauma survivors, individuals in crisis, and those experiencing heightened anxiety or depressive symptoms. She considers herself to be an integrative, psychodynamic psychologist, who views clinical work as exploratory, collaborative, and empowering. She strives to provide a supportive and an in-depth approach to psychotherapy which considers your past experiences, motivations, intergenerational patterns, relational styles, and any significant negative events. Dr. Yundt’s training and approach will help you to address the immediate concerns and symptoms that have brought you into therapy, but also guide you in taking a look at the roots of your current problems. When not working, Dr. Yundt enjoys running, backpacking, rock climbing, cooking, and reading. She enjoys attending local markets and shops and has a particular love for coffee. Dr. Yundt enjoys the opportunity to discover new finds around the city and greater DMV area.
