Dr. Jenkins received her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology from Howard University and works as a licensed psychology associate in Washington, DC. She completed her doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Child and Family therapy clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Jenkins has trained and worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations. She has experience working with both adolescents and adults presenting with a range of clinical concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, family conflict, identity exploration, work stress, work-life balance, academic concerns, relationship issues, parent management etc. Dr. Jenkins considers herself to be an integrative therapist with an emphasis on evidenced based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is committed to creating a safe and collaborative atmosphere for clients while providing culturally informed care.
