Our practice welcomes young adults and adults for psychotherapy and evaluation. Our approach to psychotherapy is primarily psychodynamic in nature. In other words, in sessions, there is a focus on early experiences and how they contribute to the development of your current emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns.
Observations and insights can be used to reevaluate situations, understand and articulate your feelings better, develop your coping strategies and more successfully navigate relationships. Our clinicians will incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in to sessions when a “problem-solving approach” is helpful.
All of our clinicians have their own personal style and have specialities for which they have been trained. However, empathy, genuineness, and a non-judgmental approach are at the core of our therapeutic approach.
